President's Message
Aaron Maniam,
President,
Mendaki Club
Mendaki Club’s tagline, “Nurturing Aspirations”, has never been more relevant than today. As the world deals with the vicissitudes of global economic restructuring and our community is faced by changes that are far swifter and wider in scope than before, it will be critical for us continually to have big and bold visions for our collective future.
Mendaki Club has been privileged to continue nurturing aspirations, in a small way, over the past year. The Young Minds Club (YMC) and Talent Development Programme (TDP) are now established brands in the secondary and post-secondary scenes respectively. Both programmes have built on newly-recruited volunteers to scale up their activities. Starting in January 2010, YMC embarked on a new slate of workshops, building on the findings of a review that brought together perspectives from student participants, alumni, parents and facilitators.
